Summary

No account signup, advertising or third-party analytics is required. The app does not request your contacts, photos or location. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or analytics brokers.

Online features use a random device-generated identifier and a server player identifier. These are not hardware identifiers, but they persist across requests and associate activity with the same player. An optional display name or text you submit may contain personal information.

Online features

The trivia service at bd-cardzerver.fly.dev receives:

• Player registration: a random device identifier and optional display name. The server returns a player identifier.
• Question requests: selected topic IDs, requested count and, when available, player identifier to manage question delivery and repeats.
• Question reports: question ID and text, topic, selected reason and any optional detail you enter. Please do not include sensitive or identifying information.
• Daily leaderboard submissions: player identifier, date, points, completion status, moves, wrong answers, assist penalty, perfect-route allowance and estimated remaining distance. Leaderboards may show your chosen display name and result.

The question catalog downloads from billdonner.com/qross/catalog.sqlite.gz. Hosting providers receive ordinary connection information such as IP address when serving requests. The trivia service is hosted by Fly.io; the catalog and product website use IONOS hosting.

Friend challenge and topic-sharing features, if a future release enables them, can transmit board questions, challenge codes, results, shared topic content and a chosen creator name. They are not part of this release.

Information stored on your device

The app stores player identifiers, settings, selected topics, question downloads, achievements, streaks, game history and unfinished-game snapshots locally. Stored questions support offline play. Deleting the app removes its local app data; it does not itself delete server records.

Apple Intelligence

Optional AI assistance uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models when available. Those AI requests are not sent to our server. Other online features described above still make network requests. Deterministic move advice works without Apple Intelligence.

Children and content

DoubleQross is not directed to children under 13. Trivia may include mature references; consult the applicable App Store age rating. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request review and deletion.

Your choices and contact

Use a non-identifying display name and avoid personal information in reports. Offline play uses stored questions; downloads, reports and leaderboards need a connection. You can request deletion of associated server records or ask privacy questions at midnightrambler@gmail.com. Support emails contain the information you choose to send.
